 note = {Due to increasing environmental awareness in recent years，the implementation of an environment management system has become indispensable not only in corporate organizations but also in govern­ment bodies，schools and other settings. However，the gravity of environmental problems and the need for sustainability in society demands environmental conservation activities at a more general grassroots level.
　The Nagasaki Institute of Applied Science Human Environment Faculty established an environment
 management system (EMS) and received ISO 14001 certification in March 2007. On the basis of this experience，we used "education for sustainable development" (ESD) as a means to achieve sustainable development in the establishment of EMS in a local community.},
