But when a teacher only stands in front of students and uses a blackboard to convey information, the situation is the same as seeing a movie. Movies could be a very effective example of a teacher- centered lesson, where audiences are passive. In this paper, the movie “Miso Soup by Hana”, which is based on a daily life drama, was chosen to see the effects on audiences. Association method was employed to make an assessment of movie audiences collectively. The consciousness of the audience changed in terms of , and even , where self-affirmative consciousness increased significantly (p.<01).
